Last New Year's Eve I did NOTHING. Like, zippity do dah. Stayed at my loft watching movies, performing a few rituals and ceremonies, and chilling solo dolo...went to bed at 12:02am. I had only been in LA for a few months and didn't feel comfortable enough with anyone here to spend such an important night with strangers. I really do think the way you bring in the year is the way it plays out, so I thought spending it quietly alone at home would mean a peaceful 2016. I WAS SUPER EFFING INCORRECT. In the realm of words I would use for 2016, PEACEFUL is probably the last one I would use. It was, however, the year that the cocoon cracked open. The year I discovered that I haven't yet found my purpose, but committed to doing everything I can to get there. It was the year I went off some serious prescription meds with disastrous results, turned 40, tried online dating in LA, lost myself, found myself, slowed down, rediscovered some great friendships, and realized that my life is a magical, complex, non-linear, cosmic story that I need to live moment by moment. I'm working on that. I rode the struggle bus in 2016, but I also SHIFTED and STRETCHED and GREW more than any other year.
When proposed plans for NYE 2017 were being discussed, my friend Jeni threw out the idea of spending it at a great hotel on the beach in Mexico. Mexico is my favorite, the beach is my favorite, and relaxing is always on my TO-Do list...I was sold.
I have shifted to a place in my life where I am always trying to discover new experiences and staying open to the places I feel guided, so when looking up Cabo I was pleased to find a small town in Baja referred to as "PUEBLO Magico" on the Tropic of Cancer. The town is called Todos Santos, and it's about 1.5 hrs north of Cabo San Lucas on the coastline.
There are not enough words for me to describe how magical this place truly felt, so I will attempt to show it in photos (I took a million!) and urge you all to make the trek. It is perfection and the perfect place to set the tone for a new vision for 2017. I am so happy and filled with gratitude for this discovery and can't wait to go back to my little Magic Town by the sea. 🌊✨
i am beckee.
